To get Colossal Squid in Fisch, you need to go to the Snowcap Cave or The Ocean. There are plenty of people who claim to have caught it at various locations but the chance of catching it at random locations is very low.
To catch it instantly, go to the Snowcap Island.
After getting there, go towards the left side and look for the Snowcap Cave as shown in the below image.
After finding the cave, go inside the cave and start fishing. Before getting there, make sure the weather is Foggy and its Nighttime.
If the weather is right, go inside the cave and start hunting for Colossal Squid. If the weather is different, you should use the Sundial Totem to change the daytime.
To make the weather foggy, use the Smokescreen Totem. For the unversed, these two totems can be purchased from Sunstone Island and Mushgrove Island, respectively.
